This course is an introduction to the various approaches to making bezels in wax. Using subtractive sculpting with carving wax and additive methods with soft wax, students will create multiple projects incorporating these settings. Once the settings are cast in metal, casting clean-up, final finishing, and bezel stone setting will be covered.
Metal casting for this class is outsourced and will be the responsibility of the student.
