What you'll learn in this jewelry class:

Learn basic metalsmithing skills and jewelry making techniques in this introductory 8 week class. Get to know the studio and become familiar with the tools and equipment in this hands-on course.  

Students will explore the foundations of metal work including sawing, filing, forming, and soldering, as well as discussing the components of jewelry design.

No previous experience necessary. Beginners welcome.


Q: Can I make up a class if I miss one?
Yes, Students who are absent for class are allowed to make up missed class time during open studio hours at no cost. This is an unsupervised working time. Teachers are not required to meet with students outside of class to make up missed information. Students may make up missed hours up to 2 weeks after their class ends. One missed class equals 3 hours.

Q: Is there anything else I should be aware of to be prepared for class?
A: Yes. The school requires closed toe shoes and appropriate work clothing made from natural fibers. Long hair must be tied back when working in the studio. They provide safety glasses but you are encouraged to bring your own if you have them.
Withdrawals from class 7 days prior to the start of the class will receive a full refund for the class minus a 5% processing fee. If cancellation occurs 3-6 days prior to the class, we will provide a 50% refund. Cancellations 48 hours or less receive a 25% refund. Refunds will not be provided for no-shows or same-day cancellations.

We do not refund tuition for classes that students miss due to their own circumstances. Students may make-up missed class sessions during open studio hours for up to two weeks after the last class meeting.

We reserve the right to cancel or discontinue any class, in which case you may choose to receive a refund, apply the class credit towards a different course, or receive a tuition credit for future use. Tuition credits are valid for up to one year. Refunds will be issued within 30 days.
