Question from Patricia M.
Hello, I would like to do this course but was wondering if I can start this course in July and take two courses a week to catch up. Is this possible? Please let me know.
Answer from Claire S. Verified Student
I think in an Intro course, it's better to start when the class starts because a lot of information is given to get you going. Also, I think there is a summer class too- if not, it'd be better to wait until Fall in Aug/Sept.
Answer from Patricia M.
Thank you! I’ll look out for the Fall course then.
Answer from Brenda L. CourseHorse StaffCourseHorse Staff
Hi Patricia! The school doesn't have make-up classes. If there is still space, you could join the class late but July will be pretty late since the class starts on Jun 4th. Missing half of the class is not ideal. Hope this helps!

Intro to Gold
Reviewed by Claire S. on 12/28/2018
The Intro to Gold (Gold I) was just what I wanted to learn about using gold as a jewelry material. I had prior experience with making working silver and brass into rings, but was curious how to work with gold as a unique material. The methods of jewelry-making are many but I appreciated the classical techniques that this class engaged. The projects touched upon soldering, forming and bezel making for a stone of our choice. So I learned a little about gems as well. It will take more than one class to make what I want though, so I’m signing up for Gold II!
