What you'll learn in this glass blowing class:

Interested in learning the ancient art of glassblowing? Look no further than this weekend workshop.

This beginner-friendly class will cover the fundamentals of working with furnace glass:

  • Gathering
  • Shaping
  • Blowing

Collaborating in teams, students will learn to use tools to manipulate and control the molten glass and explore basic color application techniques. Every student can expect to leave this workshop with the understanding of how simple functional forms are created in the hot shop along with an enhanced appreciation for the rich history of glassmaking.

Please Note:

  • Our top priority is keeping our community safe.
  • Health and safety guidelines will be emailed to you upon registration.
  • Masks are still required for all ages 2 and older (we recommend a KN95 or KF94 mask).
  • Temperature checks continue at the security desk when entering.
  • We ask that if you were recently directly exposed to COVID-19 and are awaiting test results that you do not come to class, and we will work with you to find another class placement or refund you the class fee.
