What you'll learn in this glass sculpture class:

Many objects, forms, and materials can be translated into glass through the art of mold making. This two-day intensive workshop is packed with information about basic mold making for kiln casting. Students will be working with clay and wax to create positives to directly translate into glass. Students will then learn how to hand-build two high-fire refractory molds that can be used in the kiln to complete the process of melting glass into final works of art. This workshop also touches on kiln schedules and basic cold shop techniques.
