What you'll learn in this glass sculpture class:

The process of melting glass to make artwork has been around for over 2000 years. You will get hooked on this enduring art form as you learn to cut, layer, and stack glass that will be melted (fused) in a kiln. Learn the difference between a full fuse and tack fuse, and create pieces with color and depth that can only be achieved with this medium.

Please Note:
  • No experience necessary.
  • $50 materials fee due at first session. Dichroic glass available for an additional fee.

School Notes:
Marlene Meyerson JCC Manhattan, while we are a Jewish community center, nothing about our art classes are religious and all are welcome in our building at all times.

There is a $15 processing fee for all transfers and cancellations. 50% school credit will be granted for withdrawal from a school program when a written request is received before the second class. After the second class, JCC credit cannot be granted. (however, students may transfer from one class to another of equal or lesser value if there is space availability and with the program director's approval.) All cancellation request must be submitted to CourseHorse at [email protected] Please allow three to four weeks for processing of your cancellation request and be mindful of the timetable described above.
