What you'll learn in this glass fusing class:

This class will focus on kiln forming and coldworking processes. Students will get started by making 3D paper models to experiment with their ideas before moving forward with glass designs. Using colored sheet glass, we will cut various shapes and fuse them together in the kiln to create flat panels that can be transformed into three-dimensional forms through slumping.

Please Note:

Preparation for Classes
Students should bring notebooks to each class for sketching steps to techniques, recording inspiration, and planning class projects. Students wishing to use specific tools or materials not supplied in class are responsible for obtaining these items themselves.

Proper Studio Attire
For your safety, protective eyewear must be worn at all times in all areas of the UrbanGlass Studio. We will provide appropriate eyewear for your use. Appropriate work clothes are also required. Flammable or synthetic fabrics, sandals and open-toe shoes are not allowed. Long hair should be tied back.
