What you'll learn in this glass bead class:

This beginner workshop will guide students in the creation of their very own wearable beads! We will explore color and form through the lens of pattern and texture, applying your unique voice to the art of glass beads. 

With safety talks and demonstrations, students will learn the process of melting colorful glass rods at the torch and how to use a basic set of tools to shape the molten material.

This class is for ages 11 and up, 9 with a parent/guardian.

Please Note:

Preparation for Classes
Students should bring notebooks to each class for sketching steps to techniques, recording inspiration, and planning class projects. Students wishing to use specific tools or materials not supplied in class are responsible for obtaining these items themselves.

Proper Studio Attire
For your safety, protective eyewear must be worn at all times in all areas of the UrbanGlass Studio. We will provide appropriate eyewear for your use. Appropriate work clothes are also required. Flammable or synthetic fabrics, sandals and open-toe shoes are not allowed. Long hair should be tied back.
