Prepare for a season of giving with the perfect handmade gift in this fun holiday themed beadmaking workshop! Students will learn stringer control and be introduced to design methods such as spots, dots and lines to decorate their beads. A variety of shaping tools and surface embellishments such as silver foil and colored frit will be available to help achieve our own personal style of bead making. Learn something new, then pay it forward! Open to all skill levels.
What to Expect: Beadmaking requires a little practice at heat control with the torch to create successful beads. After demonstrations, expect to make between 2 - 6 successful new glass creature friends in this class, and a couple failures, while gaining confidence and skill in the studio.
Eligibility: No previous experience required. Open to ages 12 and up.
Pick-up: The glass needs to cool down overnight then be carefully removed from the mandrels, so the students will have to return to UrbanGlass once notified to pick up their work.
This is an in-person class taking place on-site at UrbanGlass. Health and safety guidelines will be emailed to you upon registration.
