What you'll learn in this glass blowing class:

Designed with the beginner in mind, this informative introductory class will guide students through the possibilities of what can happen when sheet and crushed glass are fused, bent or slumped in a kiln.

Using a wide variety of glasses from the colorful Bullseye Glass palette, students will gain a fundamental understanding of kiln forming processes, including cutting glass, sheet and strip construction and working with powders and frits (crushed glass).

After a number of introductory sessions covering the basics, students will have the opportunity to explore and create their own individual project. Basic cold working technique will be introduced to enhance and finish projects. Hands on studio work will be complimented by a presentation on historic and contemporary kiln formed glass.
