What you'll learn in this glass blowing class:

Explore the fundamentals of blowing glass ornaments at the torch. Students will learn torch control and heating techniques in order to blow their own glass holiday decorations.

Beginning with clear glass, the instructor will demonstrate managing a variety of flame types, along with heating and blowing techniques to create the ideal bubble. Once the class has had a chance to create a bubble in clear, we will move into coloring and decorative techniques. The instructor will demonstrate techniques including frit/powder, wrap and rake, and gold/silver fuming.

The class will then have open flame time to explore and create with assistance available during the remainder of the course.
