Introduction to Floral Design classes are a perfect fit for those who are interested in floral design and want to try out working with flowers while learning some very helpful tips and tricks.

This studio class provides the opportunity to create a beautiful, seasonal arrangement while learning professional design basics.

This is a great way to introduce yourself to FlowerSchool New York and the world of floral design!

Students will:

Learn tips and tricks to better their designing at home.
Use fresh, seasonal blooms.
Take home a beautiful coffee or side-table sized arrangement.
Each design will placed in a shopping bag for easy transport home.

Exact flowers pictured may not be utilized in class. Floral arrangements will draw upon the hues in this picture.

Refund Policy

Flowers are one of the most perishable items available and our refund & cancellation policy is reflective of that.

For IN PERSON classes full refunds less 5% cancellation fee are given for cancellations made 8 business days or more from the program start date.
Only class credit will be given for any cancellations made 7 business days or less from the program start date.
There are NO REFUNDS for the Open Studio Box once ordered.

In any event where a customer wants to cancel their enrollment and is eligible for a full refund, a 5% processing fee will be deducted from the refund amount.

Carolyn was a great instructor, she made sure to review each bouquet in the class and give input. Lots of great tips on how to place, maintain and style flowers. I would definitely take more classes with her and at the school in general.

The teacher for this class explained very well the purpose of this flower making class. She demonstrated how the floral arrangement was supposed to look. She was not upset that my flower arrangement came out differently from her demonstration floral arrangement.

I was a bit disappointed as the class stated open studio so I thought there would be an option to learn about hand-tied bouquets since the picture associated with the class description was a bouquet. Instead we created a follow along compact centerpiece arrangement. Overall learned some new tips and it was great working with fresh flowers, just wish it had been more clear on what I was signing up for.

It was a good class and I learned a little bit about the flowers they decided to teach that day. I thought the teacher could be a little bit more hands-on and give you some tips while you’re working with the flowers. This class is more of a learn about how to flower arena and then make your own based on what you saw it’s not really an introduction to being a florist or things you should know on how to conditioner prepare flowers

There was no content taught. It was similar to a paint night in the sense it was follow and proceed. Of course beautiful arrangements were made but that was done without guidance for future endeavors. I’ve been working with Flowers for a little while now and I left with no new information on what creates a good arrangement or about maintenance of a good arrangement etc. I apologize for the negative feedback. The boutique used a beautiful array of flowers and I appreciate that.
