I loved the class. The teacher - Linda Nemergut - was incredible. She has vast knowledge, knows how to deal with beginners, is very patient, gives a lot of personal attention, and answers all your questions. What else to wish for? You are not rushed - also good news for a beginner. Another good thing - for reasonable price you get to understand, what botanical illustration is - and decide, whether you want to take NYBG certification classes or master this type of drawing in depth by yourself. Even if not - information about paper, pencils, supplies, and some basics is applicable for any type of drawing. It was definitely money wisely spent.

The teacher was incredibly knowledgeable and thorough in her instruction. She shared many tips on drawing and materials that as a former art school student, I appreciated. She was also very enthusiastic about the subject and her own work was beautiful. Linda was great. A gem. Go take her class!

The classroom did not have proper lighting for this class. We were trying to draw shadows and light with overhead florescent lighting. The teacher was very kind and talented but her feedback with minimal and vague. I did learn some very help drawing fundamentals but was disappointed overall.
