Description

What you'll learn in this mosaics class:

Learn the ancient art of mosaic design. Grace Baley, professional mosaicist and teaching artist, will guide you through the step by step process and techniques you need to complete a mosaic project. Participants will learn how to create and layout a design, cut and nip tesserae, and grout the finished piece. You will go home with a beautiful work of art.

We supply all the tools and materials needed.

Space is limited.

Refund Policy

Cancellations made at least 48 hours in advance of the class will be honored with a full refund. Students who cancel less than 48 hours prior to the start time of the class will receive a credit towards a future class.

In any event where a customer wants to cancel their enrollment and is eligible for a full refund, a 5% processing fee will be deducted from the refund amount.

Grace was an amazing teacher, kind, considerate and a master at her craft. She taught us how to cut the glass and the class was hands on. I made a piece but couldn’t finish it and she said I was welcome to come back free of charge to her next class to finish it. I will definitely recommend

I would highly recommend this mosaic workshop to anyone who is looking to try something different and who wants to tap into their creativity! Grace was so generous with her knowledge, experience and feedback! I have gone three times, and I will go again and highly recommend it to anybody considering taking this class. I also really appreciated the camaraderie of the other folks in the room. We all encouraged and learned from each other with the class being orchestrated by Grace. Since she has been teaching this class for many years as well as doing her own artwork, she is a true insight for texture color and gives great suggestions!

Excellent day with good instruction and a very friendly atmosphere. All materials provided freely and we got to go home with a finished piece. I am definitely hooked and want to do more. They are great sessions to do with friends, to gift to someone or just to take yourself to. Fun, social experience, with creativity grown in.

Grace is amazing! She has gotten me addicted to making mosaics. I received a gift certificate for a class earlier this year and can’t stop coming back (I’m finishing up my third piece now). I’ve loved working with Grace to create a vision for each piece and learning to cut tiles and glass. Grace is so thoughtful, supportive and clear with her instruction and creates such a great sense of community among those in the class. I highly recommend her as an instructor — just be warned you will likely become mosaic addicted too!

I’ve been to several of Grace’s mosaic workshops and they’re really fun! She guides you through the whole process and you get to leave with your very own work of art. You can come up with your own design or she has plenty of stencils to choose from. It’s really rewarding to get immersed in your own project for a few hours in an environment where all the students really encourage each other, even if you’ve never made anything with your very own hands before. I’ve met really neat new people each time. Jaimie and Liz, the gallery owners, are wonderful hosts and they take the class too!

This was one of my favorite workshops I've attended! We had such a fun group of people and there were a lot of repeat attendees. Grace is a great teacher (and artist) and is really patient with new learners and people new to mosaic making. I really love what I made in the class and I'm displaying it on my wall! I would recommend this class to anyone looking to dabble in mosaic making and try something new!
