Matthew Simmons

Teaches at Moore Dancing

Matthew Simmons was born in Grand Rapids, MI. He moved to FL in 99’ where he met his breakdance mentor and began his career as a professional breakdancer. He attended the University of Florida in Gainesville and joined The Hip Hop Collective. He also became the president of the Breakdance Club at UF. During this time he organized a dance crew he named Unkabadunka Monkeys and began booking professional performances. He also began to tour with the Harlem Globetrotters as their mascot "Globie". He soon thereafter moved to LA to write, direct and produce "Bboy Movie" (bboymovie.com). Currently Matthew attends the Howard Fine Acting Studio, and works as a dancer, actor, M.C., dance instructor, and mascot. He’s passionate about sharing his love for dance with all those he comes in contact with.
