From Nagano, Japan, Iku founded a Hip Hop Crew in 2001 and has danced professionally ever since. After years of performing as the opening act for “Top 10” artists in Tokyo, Iku took her career overseas on sabbatical. She found Zumba while in Miami, and grew substantial followings in Florida and Boston for the added intensity she brings to her classes. With various fitness certifications, including AFAA Japan, Zumba Toning and Body Pump to name a few, Iku is now studying Kinesiology in Los Angeles. Leveraging her expertise, Iku has developed a style that combines joyful dance elements and physically demanding exercises to offer the best of dance fitness to Moore students.
