Sun Cafe's Head Chef Ron Russell rocks in both information and presentation of not only the topic of the class, vegan cheese, but also in discussing the nutritional value and various adjuncts of "veganness".

Ron is an excellent speaker and teacher. I learned a lot! I would suggest asking people to turn their cell phones off as a woman was receiving texts throughout the class and her alarm was quite loud. On the recipes, I would suggest typing the # of servings and typing the ingredients in the order they are used This makes it easier to follow & take notes on the handout

Great class and great location. Instead of three recipes, two would have been better and to follow through completely with one recipe before moving on to the next one would be less confusing.
I was early but the class had started already too.

Very informative and welcoming. I enjoyed watching chef ron prepare tacos and added the healthy twist to vegan cooking.

Chef Ron is at the top of his game, while also being enormously friendly and approachable. The info he gives is invaluable. I attended this vegan cheese course twice, because I lost the notes from the first one -- and I learned just as much the second time I took it.

I had laryngitis, was in the middle of moving, and it was raining torrentially -- but the subject matter intrigued me so I hauled myself over there and Am so happy I did. Ron is a doll -- a wonderful teacher with plenty to teach. And the resultant taster plate was delicious.

I really liked the chef / owner who taught the class but my main suggestion is, since it’s only a 1 1/2 class, maybe don’t spend the first 30 minutes teaching the benefits of a vegan diet (when we were all there for a cheese course and since everyone there was there fir a VEGAN cheese course perhaps they didn’t NEED lessons on veganism), and then there was only one hour left to go through 7 recipes. Of course he ran out of time and did not complete the last two. It would have been nice to learn more about vegan cheese (different techniques, how to use specific ingredients, and actually make the last two recipes etc) in place of those 30 minutes of the benefit of being a vegan which is not what I signed up for.
Please note I enjoyed the one hour of cheese recipes, and Ron was very nice and funny and it was an honor to see him teach in his own restaurant, a restraint o frequent and love, i just he had spent more time on the subject I paid for and not one I didn’t need.

Chef Ron is awesome for taking the time to teach and educate. My wife has severe allergies, Gluten, Dairy and Whey. Chef Ron has given hope back to my wife with food that she had to give up due to her allergies. Thank you, thank you.

This class is everything!! Ron was not only extremely detailed & thorough but he was charming and enthusiastic. We'll be there every Saturday moving forward. We highly recommend this class if you're considering it.
Side note- we stayed for brunch, we tried his Mac & Cheese, French Toast and Chorizo Omlette -- WOW!!

We learnt so much and when home to make the pumpkin pie, it was delicious! One thing to note is that it's a demonstration and not hands on, you do get to try all the dishes though. We'll be back for more classes!
