Professional Effects & Compositing teaches editors about the full range of effects available in Avid Media Composer. Along with its counterpart, MC201 Professional Picture & Sound Editing, this course provides the foundation for Media Composer Professional Certification.

In this thorough course, you'll go far beyond the basics and learn how to apply, design, and build your own effects; how to make full use of all of Media Composer's effects nesting techniques; how to composite various elements using different types of keys; and how to animate effects using keyframes and the motion tracker. Media Composer is a powerful tool, the standard editing system used by professionals in the film and television industries.

Pre-requisites: Avid Media Composer courses MC101- Editing Essentials & MC110- Effects Essentials or equivalent experience.

Refund Policy

Students may cancel their enrollment in any course by providing notice to CourseHorse no less than 4 business days prior to the start time of the class.
Any cancellation received less than 4 business days prior to the start time of the class will result in the student being charged a $150 late cancellation fee.
"No-shows" will be charged the full published rate for the course and will receive no refund for any payments already made.

The center reserves the right to cancel any course at anytime for any reason, however, cancellations are usually made no less than 72 hours prior to the course start date. In the event of a cancellation by the center, students have the option of being rescheduled for another course date or receiving a full refund less a 5% non-refundable registration fee.
