What you'll learn in this screenplay class:

Discover the art and craft of screenwriting, from concept to first original idea, and transform it to screenwriting form. Each week, students will watch movies at home, which will be discussed in class. Structure, characterization, and plot will be talked about, and students will also write and critique their material in a workshop/classroom setting. 

The Screenwriters Workbook by Syd Field (ISBN: 440582253) is suggested, but not required. Students must be able to attend the 2nd class. If you cannot, then do not sign up for the class.

Refund Policy
Refund requests for classes/workshops must be made at least three (3) business days prior to the start date. All requests will be charged a $15 cancellation fee per person/per class. Refunds will NOT be granted if you cancel less than three (3) business days prior to the start date. If a class is canceled due to low enrollment or class cancellation, a refund will be issued promptly. Insufficient funds/returned checks are subject to a $25 service charge per check.

The Ronnenberg Center classroom is located off the Adams parking lot at Adams Avenue and Pinecreek Way. As you enter the parking lot from Adams Avenue, turn left at the softball field. The classroom is located just to the right of the softball field. Weekday parking is by permit only in metered lots. Meters are 50 cents for 1 hour or buy an all day parking permit at yellow ticket dispenser located at Fairview & Arlington, In the Merrimac parking lot, and in the Adams Parking Lot by Monitor Way for $3.00. You may also purchase a parking permit at the Bursar’s office for $30. Parking is FREE on weekends.
