Description

What you'll learn in this notary training:

Government institutions, banks, real estate and mortgage companies, plus many other businesses are seeking notaries. All prospective notaries must complete a course approved by the California Secretary of State.

Our approved course will give you the most updated notary information and the knowledge you need to perform the duties correctly and to pass the state exam. Resources will be provided during class regarding the notary exam. Becoming a notary & notary loan signing agent can be a great way to earn extra money, start your own business, or enhance your current career.

Class fees includes valuable 70-page manual, notary public handbook, award of completion, and sample forms notaries use every day.

FOR IN-PERSON CLASSES, State examination is conducted on the same day immediately after class starting at 4:30PM. 

Bring an official photo ID, two #2 pencils, a 2”x2” passport-sized color photo and a separate $40 check made payable to the “Secretary of State.” - For those students wishing to take the exam only, there is a $25 registration fee payable one day before the day of class.

Before signing up for this class, check to see that you meet eligibility requirements for becoming a notary: visit www.sos.ca.gov/notary and click “qualifications.” You must register with a valid email address.

Note: Due to strict State regulations, no one is admitted after class begins. Check-in begins at 7:30 and class must begin promptly at 8:00AM. So have your current, official photo ID ready. Registration closes the day before class meets.

Refund Policy

Cancellation Policy:

Classes are mandated by the State of California to be self-supporting based on student enrollment fees. As such, we reserve the right to cancel any class offering if the minimum number of student enrollments necessary to support it is not achieved. You will be notified no less than the day prior to the start of the first session if an offering will be cancelled and offered either a transfer of your fees to another class offering or a full refund. It is therefore essential that your phone number and email is up-to-date and functional. Refunds will be processed within 20-30 business days of cancellation.

We also reserves the right to change room location and or substitute instructors and will endeavor to contact you via phone and/or email prior to the scheduled meeting time with the updated information.

Transfer Policy:

  • To transfer to another class, requests must be made via email at least four business days before the first class meeting.
  • Transfer requests will not be granted after the first class meeting.

Please note, approved transfers are a one-time allowance and are subject to our general refund policy for the second class offering.

Refund Policy:

  • All requests for refunds or transfers must be made at least four business days before the start of class and are subject to a $20 cancellation fee per class.
  • There are no refunds nor transfers granted after four business days prior to class.
  • Transfers are limited to once per class.

Important information: Refunds ARE NOT issued for absences nor prorated for late registration. Missed class meetings may not be made up in another class. Class offerings may not be audited.

In any event where a customer wants to cancel their enrollment and is eligible for a full refund, a 5% processing fee will be deducted from the refund amount.
