Give as a Gift Book as Private EventStudents will get a thorough know-how of billing all 3rd party payers for physicians’ charges. Claim requirements for Workman’s Comp/Champus HMO’s, Medicare/Medi-Cal will be covered & claim forms will be completed for each. Medical billing is the process of submitting and following up on claims with health insurance companies in order to receive payment for services rendered by a healthcare provider.
Prerequisites: Working knowledge of Medical Terminology I-III, ICD-10/CPT-4.
Materials Required: Have your ICD-10/CPT-4 coding books.
This course is available for "remote" learning and will be available to anyone with access to an internet device with a microphone (this includes most models of computers, tablets). Classes will take place with a "Live" instructor at the date/times listed below.
Upon registration, the instructor will send along additional information about how to log-on and participate in the class.

If students are interested in requesting a refund, we are currently waiving the $10 cancellation fee. Students still have to option to transfer to another class, instead of a refund.

We reserve the right to cancel any class offering if the minimum number of student enrollments necessary to support it is not achieved. You will be notified no less than the day prior to the start of the first session if an offering will be cancelled by Community Services and offered either a transfer of your fees to another class offering or a full refund.
There are no refunds after a class has begun. Student requested refunds must be made 48 hours before the class begins. There will be a $10 processing fee per class.
Note:Refunds are not issued for absences nor prorated for late registration. Missed class meetings may not be made up in another class.
