Get the necessary training to be able to respond to an emergency. This Heartsaver First Aid CPR/AED training offered through the American Heart Association is designed to prepare you to provide first aid and CPR for infants, children, and adults, and use an automated external defibrillator (AED) in a safe, timely, and effective manner.
Other skills covered in this class include the use of an Epi-Pen, and caring and preventing illnesses and injuries, such as cuts, bloody nose, seizures, fever, eye injuries, bites, choking, and behavioral changes.
Upon successful completion of this course students receive an American Heart Association Heartsaver First Aid CPR/AED Course Completion Card that is valid for two years.
Wear comfortable clothing, no make up to keep mannequins clean, bring a snack or lunch.
There are no refunds or transfers after a class begins. Requests to withdraw from a class or transfer to another Community Services class must be done 5 OR MORE DAYS prior to the first class meeting. There is a $15 service charge per class for each refund or transfer requested. If you enrolled in a class less than 5 days prior to the first class meeting, NO refunds will be given. There are no refunds or credits for absences and late registrations are not pro-rated. Missed class meetings may not be made up in another class.
In any event where a customer wants to cancel their enrollment and is eligible for a full refund, a 5% processing fee will be deducted from the refund amount.
