He is a great and patient instructor. I am glad it is being recorded because I had to leave a little early.

Jose was so dedicated and invested in all of our learning of the material. He took great pains to sort out all of our issues and answer every question, even if it meant that the class went over by almost an hour.

The class was great- it just went a bit too fast for real beginners.

The Getting Started with WordPress was a great class. I have been using WordPress for a couple of years, with no formal training, but always struggling to update my website. The class covered a lot of topics an gave a really broad overview of WordPress. I hope to take the intermediate class to get into the nuts and bolts, and highly recommend General Assembly. The facility was clean and fresh (kind of hip, if you ask me!), parking was practical and reasonably priced, several restaurant options in the neighborhood. The instructor, Jose Cervantes, was clear an concise, answered questions, and created dummy websites for us to play with so we could practice on real websites; we each had our own website! It is highly recommended to bring your own laptop; you won't get much out of the class without a laptop. I recommend this class, this school, this facility, and look forward to my next opportunity.

A strong class overall. Good overview of essentials and nice introduction to more specific practices. With practice I expect it will become even better. I think I derailed things a little with a question that fell outside the purview of the class and a teacher needs to learn to deflect questions like that from people like me. In an y class its important to move quickly a the beginning to leave enough time for matters at the end. This is a challenge for all teachers, storytellers, presenters, etc., and can always be improved.
