Prereqs & Preparation
Please come to the workshop with a laptop and notepad and pen. Students will gain the most from this workshop if they have a clear idea of their vision for their future, and a basic understanding of their market and ideal customer, however, all students will takeaway an understanding of the frameworks and how they can be applied when developing a brand strategy.

School Notes:
For students enrolling in 12 week part time and immersive classes, it is not recommended that you book more than one class simultaneously.

Interesting course, with a lot of useful information about building your brand. People were greatly invited to contribute, and share their ideas. Robyn took down misconceptions and clichés we could have had in mind about branding. That was a great lesson about what our priorities should be when starting a business. She spent quite some time promoting her own business, which is great, but felt a little pushy (...you don't get my slides unless you sign up to my newsletter...). I would have loved more diversity in the case studies. Most of the companies she mentioned, especially the ones she made up, seemed like they were all targeting the same audience, the 30-something female vegan hipster who loves yoga and Instagram. Overall, despite its shortcomings in terms of references diversity and self-promotion, this course gives you a great roadmap if you don't know where to start when it comes to finding your brand's identity.

Ms. Young has a great approach to teaching the basics to people who may not have a background in branding/marketing, and I'm happy that I learned so much in a 2-hour span.
