What you'll learn in this comedy class:

Ya know how a veteran comic sounds like he’s just talking and it’s hilarious?

That is called “speaking in the language of stand-up”.

And it comes from the ability to riff on-stage, using punchline dynamics naturally and creating material entirely in voice.

There’s nothing more exciting than when a comedian goes off-book. It’s exciting, electric and dangerous. But when done right, there is nothing that can get an audience on it’s feet like great crowd-work and riffing.

It’s not luck, it’s skill. And when you get out on the road, it’s an essential skill. No two audiences are alike. Challenges will come from every direction. Your ability to ride those challenges hilariously makes all the difference between getting booked once and getting booked all the time.

Let go of the material and learn to flow on-stage!

The ONLY WORKSHOP OF ITS KIND. A mind-blowing 1-day, 4-hour intensive of drills and exercises created by Comedian-in-chief, The Greg Wilson.

You will learn:
  • Read the audience
  • How to write punchlines
  • MAGIC ingredient that makes punchlines Work
  • 3 Keys to Riffing
  • Biggest mistake to avoid when Riffing
  • Create instant punchlines
  • Roll riffs into material
  • Write on the stage, not on the page
  • Own any stage
  • Explore any topic

Greg gives a great class, I love the student engagement. My only feedback would be to have the students participate in more (improv) exercises that have the students say/ ramble even more with less editing. This way, they can play with having even more flow, this would heighten the exercises that he administers in class.
