Give as a Gift Book as Private EventHave you ever wanted to learn how to sign, but don’t know where to start? This is the class for you to unfold your potential signing skills. You’ll learn the basic language structure of American Sign Language (ASL) and Deaf culture through great activities.
This is a fun introduction to American Sign Language (ASL) and Finger spelling as it is used within Deaf Culture. You will also learn how to use facial grammar, expressive and receptive skills to communicate in ASL, and intriguing facts about Deaf culture and community.
Required book: American Sign Language Workbook: Exercises to Build Your Signing Vocabulary, ISBN: 978-1646119509
This course is available for "remote" learning and will be available to anyone with access to an internet device with a microphone (this includes most models of computers, tablets). Classes will take place with a "Live" instructor at the date/times listed below.
Upon registration, the instructor will send along additional information about how to log-on and participate in the class.

If students are interested in requesting a refund, we are currently waiving the $10 cancellation fee. Students still have to option to transfer to another class, instead of a refund.

We reserve the right to cancel any class offering if the minimum number of student enrollments necessary to support it is not achieved. You will be notified no less than the day prior to the start of the first session if an offering will be cancelled by Community Services and offered either a transfer of your fees to another class offering or a full refund.
There are no refunds after a class has begun. Student requested refunds must be made 48 hours before the class begins. There will be a $10 processing fee per class.
Note:Refunds are not issued for absences nor prorated for late registration. Missed class meetings may not be made up in another class.
