Description
What you'll learn in this quilting class:
Join is for a day of doll quilt making with Jess Brown! Jess Brown doll quilts are created using a collage technique. This free form quilt work is much like her “no rules” style of doll making. Learn to create a small doll sized quilt using treasured scraps of fabrics. This size quilt can also make a beautiful wall hanging! During the course of this one-day workshop, Jess Brown will share her creative process and the sewing style and techniques she has used to build her brand and make her heirloom quality rag dolls and quilts. Each student will create their own rag doll sized quilt ( roughly 24”x9”) using the beautiful fabrics provided by French General.
Materials and tools are provided for this class, however you are welcome to bring any special bits and pieces or fabric you would like to use on your doll.
This all day workshop will include coffee and tea in the morning, lunch at noon and afternoon apertifs.

A: Yes. Class fee will include all materials needed for the class, including fabric, batting, needles, stencil, marking tool, thread, and a Roxette Thimble. (These special thimbles, specifically made for hand quilting, are ergonomically designed to reduce hand stress and help you achieve the "rocking motion" of hand quilting.)
