Intro to Fine-Art Screenprint

Screen-printing is the technique of creating an ink-permitting stencil image on a flexible mesh screen. It occupies a border between fine-art printing and industrial production. This conceptual ground has been well-farmed since the Pop Art Movement of the 1960's.

Today, it is still an excellent way to translate hand-composed and photographic compositions into quickly  reproducible designs, ready for wood, paper, plastic, fabric, and other materials. Screenprinting is therefore one of the most commercial and adaptable original printmaking processes.
