Description
What you'll learn in this casting class:
You will learn how to create more advanced 'Cast' Resin jewelry and 'Domed' Resin Jewelry, including Earrings, Pendants, Brooches, Rings, Magnets and ornaments using two part resins.
More specifically you will learn the following:

- About the different resins available and their properties
- Working with more advanced molds, including silicone molds and urethane molds
- More advanced techniques in layering and mixing additives in the mold
- More advanced techniques for finishing pieces - like finishing surface with brushed resin for optimal shine
- How to embed photos, art and prints in bezels
- How to make 'twisted' resin jewelry and ornaments - where you make thin sheets and strips of resin on top of prints, stickers, colored acetate, etc. and then bend them into almost any shape.
- Clothes you don't mind getting dirty
- Decorative items to embed in your jewelry (we will have a variety of items for you to use, but often people like to make the pieces with their own embeds)
- A lunch or snack (there will be a 30 min break half way through the class)
- The embedded items need to be no larger than about 1in x 1in x 1/4 in (for the larges piece), but the smaller the better - they will fit into a larger variety of molds.
- They can include charms, beads, candy, tiny flowers/petals, small stickers, small photographs, sketches, artwork, ink jet print-outs, watch gears, etc.
Refund Policy
If you cannot attend a course as planned, you may either receive a refund, transfer to another class, or receive a credit voucher applicable to future classes.
- Requests for withdrawal from a class must be submitted via email to [email protected] at least 6 business days prior to the start date of the class. A service charge of $10 will be withheld for refunds, but there will be no service charge for transfers or credits.
- Requests for withdrawals from a class or workshop less than 6 business days before the first day of class will incur an additional $15 service charge.
- Credits may be applied toward the cost of any future class or workshop within the next two years from date of issue.
The school reserves the right to change class locations, schedules and instructors, as required.
In the event that an instructor or the school needs to cancel at the last minute, students will receive a refund less a 5% non-refundable registration fee.
