Within this class students will learn techniques that will assist them in sketching the urban landscape. The instructor will guide the learner’s through exercises that implement elements of linear perspective, composition, modeling, color theory, and a variety of other methods. The class will be divided into 2 parts; classroom instruction and outdoor sketching around the ELAC campus. Class exercise mediums include color pencils, graphite pencils, ink pens, and a water color travel set. Required materials for the first meeting are 9 x 12 or larger mixed media sketch pad, vinyl eraser, Hb or 2hb pencil, additional materials discussed at first meeting. No previous experience needed.
Location notes:
There are no refunds or transfers after a class begins. Requests to withdraw from a class or transfer to another Community Services class must be done 5 OR MORE DAYS prior to the first class meeting. There is a $15 service charge per class for each refund or transfer requested. If you enrolled in a class less than 5 days prior to the first class meeting, NO refunds will be given. There are no refunds or credits for absences and late registrations are not pro-rated. Missed class meetings may not be made up in another class.
In any event where a customer wants to cancel their enrollment and is eligible for a full refund, a 5% processing fee will be deducted from the refund amount.
