Odette Tan's pole dancing addiction started in 2010 during a bachelorette party at the Pink Kitty Nightclub in Cabo San Lucas. One spin around the pole and she was hooked. Upon returning to Austin, Odette began training at Brass Ovaries, continuing to feed her new found addiction and discovering it to be an exhilarating and freeing experience as well as providing both physical and mental therapy during tough times. While she has a background in Chinese folk dance and frequently performs Hawaiian hula with Island Rhythms Hula Company, pole fitness has allowed her to tone up, lose weight, and transform her into the best shape of her life.

Odette attended her first competition as a finalist in the Fitness Category for Miss Texas Pole Star in 2012. She has since placed First Runner Up in the Doubles Division at the Capital of Texas Pole Championships in April 2013 and First Runner Up in the Doubles Division at Miss Texas Pole Star in October 2013. Odette is also an X-Pert Certified Pole Fitness instructor and is always eager to share her love for pole.
