As a web developer, this was my first exposure to the Scrum and Agile method. The hands-on practice in the class was great - it really helped put new tools into play. Also, I was impressed by all the preparation done by Stephane, the instructor, who has a unique engineering and business background having led scrum teams for more than 10 years. He made sure to gather material on each student attendee (eg GitHub handle, etc) before class in order to effectively put them into teams. The class was small -- less than 10 students -- but I suspect more will catch on.

I was part of the first full-time foundation class and I thought that it was a great introduction into the world of computer programming. Carter was a great instructor and I learned a lot from him. After the foundation class, I ended up joining the full-time full stack program. I highly recommend this class if you're uncertain as to whether the developer path is right for you. It is a great value and you'll be surprised at how much you end up learning.

Great class. Pramod was extremely knowledgeable about the subject. He did a great job adjusting the pace of the class to the students in attendance. Would have liked to see a non-technical and a technical version of this class.

Pramod gave a great overview of blockchain technology, including the basics of Bitcoin and Ethereum. He went into details covering Quorum, Corda and Hyperledger Fabric, discussing Pros and Cons of each private blockchain offering and comparing the differences. He also led discussions with the class on various business use cases for blockchain. Overall, Pramod is very knowledgable in the space, and he was able to explain complex concepts in terms that we all can understand. This is a great course for someone that is looking to learn blockchain and gaining an overview of the enterprise private blockchain technology.

My experience with Byte Academy has been mixed. On one hand, administration is a mess. The lack of communication is aggravating and detrimental to student success. However, they do a good job at recruiting teachers. My experience with the data science instructor was mostly good. She explained things well, has well written resources, but seems to be uninformed about what students she's working with. It was frustrating to learn that I did not have the correct operating system to work with, so we ended up wasting an entire half class on setting my computer up. The instructor did offer to meet for an extra hour, but because I work full-time, it was just not possible. Upsetting, to say the least. The course was very useful, however. I learned a lot, was challenged, and don't regret enrolling, despite my difficulty with logistics.

Their Intro to R workshop was awesome, but the bootcamp at $15000 is way too much to justify enrolling in the course.
