Novelist/writing coach Doug Kurtz earned his MA in creative writing from the University of Colorado. Mosquito, his first novel, was published in 2007; Hunter Island, his second, is due to be finished very soon. Doug's short fiction and articles have appeared in numerous publications.

When Doug's not writing or coaching or struggling to compose a third-person bio, he's cooking, reading, backpacking or mountain biking—or flying his paraglider off the Front Range in Boulder, where he lives with his partner, Cat, his son, Max, and his dog, Mackay.
