What you'll learn in this access training:

Learn how to create a variety of data tables and forms, analyze the data, and write reports. In Level 1 examine basic database concepts, create and modify databases, and be introduced to basic concepts of performing queries and building reports.

Prerequisite: Understanding of the Basics of Windows

Target Student: This course is designed for students who wish to establish a foundational understanding of Microsoft Office Access 2013, including the skills necessary to create a new database, construct data tables, design forms and reports, and create queries.

Overview: A relational database application such as Microsoft Office Access 2013 can help you and your organization collect and manage large amounts of data.

In this course, you will learn how to use Access 2013 to manage your data, including creating a new database, constructing tables, designing forms and reports and creating queries to join, filter, and sort data.

Course Objectives: In this course, you will learn to create and manage a fundamental Access 2013 database.
You will:
  • Navigate within the Microsoft Access application environment and create a simple database
  • Organize and manage data stored within Access tables
  • Use queries to join, sort, and filter data from different tables
  • Create advanced queries, including action queries and parameter queries
  • Create and format custom reports
  • Customize Access configuration options

Refund Policy

If CFU cancels a class, you have the option for a full refund of the tuition or to move your registration to another session of the class.

If you cannot attend a class you must contact the registration office at least 72 hours prior to your first class meeting. There are no refunds if you cancel out of/cannot attend your class. With 72 hours advanced notice we can transfer you to another available class or give you a non-refundable tuition credit to use towards another class in the future. There will be a $7 transaction fee for dropping or transferring out of the original class.

If you need to cancel out of a Computer class with less than 72 hours advanced notice, there is no credit issued, but you will be able to take the class at a later time on a standby basis (waiting until the day before to opt in so that CFU knows that the class is running and that there is space). 

If you need to cancel a Spanish class under 72 hours, you will receive a non-refundable class credit for 50% of the tuition for the class. Tuition credit is valid for one year from date of issue and cannot be redeemed for cash and is non-refundable. There is no option for dropping a class after the class has begun.
