What you'll learn in this six sigma training:

Learn how to uncover unnecessary activities in your processes and how to eliminate them with advanced techniques like value stream assessment.

Lean Belt is broken into two week-long courses. During the first week, Lean Belt provides a comprehensive introduction to key principles and practices that can be applied in any environment, including service, manufacturing, healthcare and transactional business. Participants also learn about leading Lean Kaizen events using our five-step SCORE roadmap and take home the how-to guide detailing the method: A Team Leader’s Guide to Lean Kaizen Events.

Week two teaches the necessary skills for aligning Lean activities with strategic objectives, solving real process problems and continuously improving operations. This portion of the course moves beyond knowledge into the realm of application—teaching you advanced techniques that you can apply in any industry.

Does this course include eLearning?

While there is not a specific eLearning course, the Lean Methods Group does provide related material. The 21 modules of our eLearning Lean Concepts and Tools complement the course and provide useful review of the topics taught.

Does this course count as one of the electives for the Master Black Belt and Lean Master programs?
Lean Belt is a required course for the Lean Master program and an elective option for Master Black Belt.

What are the certification requirements?
  • Attend all classroom training
  • Earn 70% or above on exams
  • Complete project work including leading a Kaizen event using the SCORE methodology
