What you'll learn in this music class:

This class provides musical activities that help further your child’s confidence and social skills, listening and direction following and gross and fine motor skills. Understanding your child's desire for individual expression, Polyphonic Preschoolers/Kinetic Kiddos provides each child musical opportunities to take turns between leading and imitating. They will learn not only to play along with the music, but also to develop their own rhythms. Each week will include repetition of familiar songs in a predictable class structure along with the integration of new songs based on the monthly theme. Movement songs, circle games, group dances and expressive movements enhance both fine and gross motor skills as well as coordination. Finger plays and rhymes, instrument playing, parachute games, rhythm activities and vocal exercises facilitate learning and development of basic academic concepts, social skills, confidence and self-esteem. Learn songs, dances and finger plays that you and your child can do together at home, in the car or even when waiting in line!

All music classes are led by a Board-Certified Music Therapist (MT-BC), who specializes in Neurologic Music Therapy (NMT). Music therapists use music to facilitate the learning and acquisition of developmentally appropriate skills. Classes are developmentally designed, with your child’s needs at their core and always offered on a drop-in, or pay as you go basis. Doing away with the standard “session registration” allows you the freedom to join in as often as you’d like, on the days that work best for you and your child, saving you the unnecessary cost and stress of missing class when life doesn’t permit. Classes range in price from $9-15- $15 if you drop-in, or as low as $9 if you sign up for an autopay and are able to RSVP by midnight the night before class.
