This is an entry-level class for anyone interested in learning to bake with sourdough in your own kitchen. If you’ve ever wondered what the difference between a starter and a leaven is, thought about how much starter gets thrown away every day, or let your old sourdough starter starve from neglect, this is the class for you.
In this hands-on virtual class, you will learn everything you need to know to feed and maintain a starter, how to mix, knead, and shape bread, how and when to use different kinds of flours, and the best way to bake your loaves at home.
During class, you’ll work with a starter and three beautiful loaves of bread, each in a different stage of the process – a loaf you’ll make start from scratch, one that will be formed and ready to bake after class, and a loaf of artisan bread that you baked in class.
Prior to class, you’ll receive a package with everything you need to make amazing sourdough during class and at home:
Refunds (less 5% cancellation fee) or reschedules must be made 6 business days before class start date.
In any event where a customer wants to cancel their enrollment and is eligible for a full refund, a 5% processing fee will be deducted from the refund amount.
