What you'll learn in this sewing class:

Every fitting process begins with evaluating how the body fills a garment. Understanding how to fit your garment involves understanding that there are three possible fit-problem scenarios: an area is too large, an area is too small, or an area isn’t shaped right.

Recommend to take this class if:
  • You bought a garment because of great fabric or style and want to make it work for you or your customer.
  • You are Fashion Designer, made the garment and want to improve the fit.
  • You are patternmaker and want to improve your fitting and pattern correction skills.
  • You are a seamstress and want to learn how to alter garments to improve the fit.
  • You buy patterns, make samples that don’t fit right and want to learn how to adjust those patterns.
Instructor will point fit problems on garments you will bring and teach you how to correct on corresponding patterns or on garments.

Materials to Bring:
Notebook, Pencil; pen; ruler; measuring tape; garment that needs adjustmeny (If corresponding pattern is available, it will help). If you can’t wear the garment, please show a picture on your model. I can only try size 6, 8 or M.

Any other necessary information:
Student must have some sewing skills. Basic patternmaking skills is not necessary, but will help.
