Palette Knife Painting

Explore the fun world of palette knife painting in this two-part class! In the first class you'll get some experience handling the palette knife as you layer colors on top of each other to create two rich, abstract paintings. 

You will experiment with regular grade acrylics as well as some heavy body acrylics to see what effects each has to offer.

In the second class you'll build on the skills you learned and create a cityscape painting! In this class you'll get a chance to work with acrylic gel medium to really pop some texture on your canvas!

No painting experience necessary. 

This is a fun, non-judgmental environment to learn and express yourself on canvas.

All supplies are included, or bring your own and save 40%. If you bring your own, please bring two 8x10 canvases for the first class, a 12x16 canvas for the second, palette knives and acrylic paint (preferably heavy body acrylics).

Note: 

• Aprons are provided, but it's a good idea to wear clothes they don't mind getting paint on, just in case.
• Please arrive at least 10 minutes early, to allow time to check in and get settled.
• The minimum age to register is 12, and the child must be with a paid adult, and comfortable in a class full of adults.
