Peter was born in Stockholm, Sweden. Two years after he spent a year as an exchange student outside of St. Louis, he moved to Texas to attend the University of North Texas from which he graduated cum laude in 1992 with a bachelor’s degree in biology and chemistry and a minor in psychology. He made the move to Chicago in the mid-90s. Since 2000 he has been teaching Swedish and translating on a private basis. Previously, he taught a Swedish class at North Park University. In his free time he gardens, cooks, reads, and is interested in film.
