Eva May & Peter Nilsson

Teaches at Swedish American Museum

Eva was born in Sweden and has resided in Chicago since 1992. She has a bachelor of fine arts in fashion design from Ray College of Design. Every year she participates in about 40 art shows in the Midwest where she sells her handmade accessories and wall art. She has prior teaching experience. Peter was born in Stockholm, Sweden. Two years after he spent a year as an exchange student outside of St. Louis, he moved to Texas to attend the University of North Texas from which he graduated cum laude in 1992 with a bachelor’s degree in biology and chemistry and a minor in psychology. He made the move to Chicago in the mid-90s. Since 2000 he has been teaching Swedish and translating on a private basis. Previously, he taught a Swedish class at North Park University. In his free time he gardens, cooks, reads, and is interested in film.
