Description
Red Meat Market, founded by Mark Wilhelms, respects that traditional relationship and embraces the same relationship in social media communities. Our products are better for the animals, better for the people and better for the environment, but we’re much more than a place to buy local, natural meats. We’re a community of successful, thoughtful meat-loving people who understand the role local family farms and ranches play in creating a sustainable, healthy food system.
We offer Red Market Butcher Classes monthly where you can listen, watch, participate and learn from one of Chicago’s Master Butchers. This makes us different then most “Butcher demonstrations” as we want you immersed in the experience. We want you holding knives and wielding cleavers and learning cutting techniques. We want you to have “hands-on” experience.
The local Butcher is becoming a critical element to the local meat system. As you learn more about the meat you eat and the cuts you like, you’ll be able to become somewhat of an authority yourself the next time you pick up meat from your local butcher.
We’re supporting this culture by offering local meat from local people to 100% meat lovers everywhere who want to make a difference in the way we treat our animals, support the land and live full, healthy lives.
