Learn how to repair books, using archival materials to extend the lifetime of the book. Each book may require different repair methods, thus long stitch, coptic binding and casebound demos will be presented to best facilitate the needs of each individual book. All material will be included except for books, no previous experience required. Required Materials: Bring books with torn bindings, damaged covers or pages that need to be resewn.

Using personal papers, maps, brochures, photo and other personal items. You will create your own Evidence book. This book is a cross between an artist book, photo album, journal, and scrapbook. The materials used inspire the way the book takes form. A variety of techniques will be demonstrated and experimentation will be encouraged. Bring your own ephemera or use materials provided. There will be a 30 minute break for lunch on each day.
