There are many prototyping tools for the UX designer to consider. As a UX designer, you should strive to master Axure because of its robust versatility and its increasing demand within the UX domain. Yes, it's complex, because it’s so powerful, but Axure can also be easy to use. Start by learning the basics before stepping into the complexity.

Join us as we take a comprehensive and pragmatic approach to simplifying the Axure mystique. This workshop provides hands-on training with many of the fundamental tools within Axure to create simple prototypes.

• Create a simple prototype that will introduce all the panels around the Axure application framework, and how they work together with basic widgets.
• Create an interactive wireframe of your prototype
• Understand basic widgets, how they function, how they can be styled
• Understand the fundamentals of linking pages using buttons and/or links
• Create your first dynamic panel and target an interaction state on the panel
• Run your prototype, understand the view mode that Axure provides

Preparation:

Students will need a laptop computer with the latest Axure edition loaded. Axure runs best on 15" laptops and updated operating systems. A mouse is highly recommended as Axure has many menus that are right click. Some background in UX design is recommended.
