What you'll learn in this nature tours class:
Forest therapy walks with your family offer an opportunity to connect with each other and with nature in a way that slows everyone down, engages the senses, and awakens wonder. Find your inner child by seeing the forest through your children's eyes. Get down close to the ground to watch ants crawl or build a rock cairn together.
Forest Therapy/Shinrin-yoku is a practice of spending time in nature or forested areas for the purpose of enhancing health, well-being, and happiness. There is a specific intention to connect to the landscape by mindfully moving in ways that cultivate presence, sensory awareness, and nature communication.
Experience the healing air, sounds, sights, and sensations of the forest and connect to the cycles of nature as you enjoy a slow paced, guided walk traveling less than one mile on maintained trails.
Please dress everyone appropriately for the outdoors and different types of weather. You may need water, insect repellent, hat, etc, and anything else to make your experience comfortable.
Please Note: This Family Walk is open to 3 families.
Cancellations:
An email will be sent out Monday evening in the event the walk is cancelled due to weather, illness, or other unforeseen event. Money will be refunded for any walk we cancel or the money can be applied to another walk.

Refund Policy
A full refund less a 5% non refundable registration fee will be given for any classes that the school cancels.
- For 2-3 hour classes a full refund less 5% cancellation fee will be given if a cancellation request is made up to 3 business days prior to the class.
- A refund less 5% cancellation fee for full day or weekend courses will be offered up to 6 business days prior.
If you have registered for the class, do not show up, and do not communicate your absence prior to the class, then you will be charged the full class fee. Instructors are compensated for teaching so it is important that we respect their preparation and teaching time.
