What you'll learn in this horticulture class:

Learn plant id skills and basic botanical terminology to key out a plant or tree using field guides and have the language to describe what you're observing. Plant specimens will be available to practice your new skills under the guidance of an experienced instructor. A variety of field guide books will be available, but please bring your own. Bring a hand lens or magnifying glass.

This class is required for people planning to take the Edible Wild Plants Certificate course, unless they have passed the online quiz.

Refund Policy
A full refund will be given for any classes that TRI cancels. For 2-3 hour classes a full refund will be given if a cancellation request is made up to 48 hours prior to the class. A refund for full day or weekend courses will be offered up to 1 week prior. Please email us at [email protected] to let us know of your cancellation request.

If you have registered for the class, do not show up, and do not communicate your absence prior to the class, then you will be charged the full class fee. Instructors are compensated for teaching so it is important that we respect their preparation and teaching time.
