What you'll learn in this horticulture class:

Permaculture Plants – Canopy Layer Plants: Nuts, Nitrogen Fixers & Evergreens + Seed Saving 101

Fall is the perfect time to plant trees and shrubs and this class will provide you the information you need to start or add to your permaculture forest garden this year. Tonight, you will learn about the multipurpose functions our canopy layer trees can provide in our forest gardens. You will also learn about different harvests we can glean from our canopy layer plants. Enjoy a tea made from some of these trees in class, and learn how to make your own delicious, nutty, hickory syrup at home.

This series of three classes on the forest garden canopy layer will give you everything you need to know to create an abundant, well-integrated shrub support system. Take one or take them all!

Nuts, Nitrogen Fixers & Evergreens + Seed Saving 101: Learn some of the amazing nut producing trees we can grow here and what forest garden plants to install with them. Also, you will learn some seed saving tips and techniques, which is an important way to grow abundance and savings!

A full refund will be given for any classes that TRI cancels. For 2-3 hour classes a full refund will be given if a cancellation request is made up to 48 hours prior to the class. A refund for full day or weekend courses will be offered up to 1 week prior. Please email us at [email protected] to let us know of your cancellation request.

If you have registered for the class, do not show up, and do not communicate your absence prior to the class, then you will be charged the full class fee. Instructors are compensated for teaching so it is important that we respect their preparation and teaching time.
