Printmaking with Gelli Plates (Ages 9-13)

Gelli Plate Monoprinting is a fun and exciting way to make one-of-a-kind paintings on paper. Working in layers, students will learn to work with mark-making, stencils, masking, and collage. They will experiment and learn how to use the right paper to get the effects they desire to create a series of work.
A Bug's Life (Ages 6- 8)

The EAC will be a buzz with artistic entomologists! Through art, campers will explore and create projects inspired by different insects. They will look at different types of bugs, their habitats, and their jobs within the environment to create works of art. Projects will experiment with a variety of materials for 2D and 3D art while simultaneously building new artistic skills. No real bugs will be used in this camp!
Fun with Paper and Paint: Nature Collages (Ages 9-13)

Create abstract artworks based on themes of nature. Compose collages comprised of interesting papers such block-printed, marbled, and Japanese rice papers, including some collage papers we’ll create ourselves through different techniques! We then work on our collages with paint and/or leaves and flowers in a variety of ways, such as painting through stencils, printing with wood-blocks, and adhering plant material.
Mindful Monday (Ages 6-8)

What does “being mindful” mean? Mindfulness is the simple awareness of the present moment - slowing down and paying attention. 3D Modeling and Printing Objects (Ages 9-14)

Turn your imagination into reality through 3D printing! Learn the basics of 3D modeling software and 3D printers to create your very own objects. Students will take home 2-3 small printed objects of their own design, and the knowledge to use Tinkercad, a free software available online. All Digital Media Department students have access to Maker Lab equipment during scheduled, monitored Open Studio hours throughout the term.
Intro to Printmaking (Ages 11-16)
Learn to create works of art in a fun environment using a variety of printmaking methods. Explore relief and screen-printing to create prints, and work on textiles that use expression, abstraction and realism.
