What you'll learn in this wine tasting class:

Love white Burgundy, but not so keen on California Chardonnay? Adore Russian River Pinot, but just don’t “get” Burgundy? It’s astonishing how the same grape varietals can taste so very different depending on where they're grown and made. Taste your way through the many faces of noble grapes and their famous birth places throughout the world.

We’ll juxtapose Cabernet Sauvignon from California, France, and South Africa; Chardonnay from California, France, and Australia; Pinot Noir from California, France, and New Zealand; Pinot Gris/Grigio from Italy, France and Oregon.

You’ll learn the key factors that influence a varietal’s expression, like climate, geographic location, winemaking practices, and culture. Oh yes – you’ll have the fun of tasting all these wines “blind”, meaning we’ll reveal the producers and growing regions at the end.
