What you'll learn in this pie class:

Savory pies come in all shapes and sizes! Learn how to work with phyllo dough, puff pastry and homemade pie dough in this hands-on class as you assemble and bake a variety of delicious pies perfect for entertaining, or just a warm and cozy weeknight dinner to take the chill out of the air.

Handheld Meat and Root Vegetables Pies with Puff Pastry
Individual Double Crust Chicken Pot Pies

Skills covered in class:

Working with phyllo dough and puff pastry
Making beef and vegetable fillings
Balancing flavors
Rolling out and blind baking pie dough
Preparing roux
Making velouté
Selecting and roasting chicken

In this hands-on class, students will be paired in groups of three to five and work together as a team to prepare the recipes.

During COVID-19, all classes have a three-day cancellation policy, except Culinary Boot Camps which have a two-week cancellation policy. You must email [email protected] to cancel an existing reservation, but please note the 15% service fee is non-refundable and non-transferable. If you cancel within 72 hours (3 days), you will not receive a refund or credit for your class, but feel free to send a friend or family member in your place.
